Luis de Miranda, (born 1971) is a novelist, philosopher, editor and film director. Born in Portugal, he has lived in Paris since he was a child. He has toured the world, including Africa, Asia, and the United States, where he lived for two years. While living in New York, he wrote his first novel, ''Joy''. He holds a master's degree in philosophy from Pantheon-Sorbonne University. He has worked as an editor at the Max Milo publishing group, where he has been publishing director since 2004. De Miranda has also directed short length movies. Philosophy is definitely at the heart of them, as in his series based on interviews of historical characters under the name ''Textosterone''. The author is also a French-, English-, and Portuguese-speaking poet, putting his voice to ″poemusic″ musical pieces.
